- William Baird & Co Ltd and Tunnel Portland Cement Ltd, both from UK, founded the Cyprus Cement Company Limited in 1951.
- Production commenced in 1954 with a production volume of 100,000 tons of cement annually.
- In November 1969 Galatariotis Group bought the whole share capital and a few months later registered the Company as a Public one.
- In 1971 Holderbank (today "Holcim") became a shareholder in the company as well as its technical advisor. Holcim is one of the biggest cement manufacturers in the world and together with Galatariotis group own the controlling interest in the Company.
- In 1975 a new production line was installed thus raising the annual production to 450,000 tons of cement per year.In 1998 the Company, pursuing a policy of modernization, centralized the control of its production process using state of the art technology.
