Our Company, pursuing a policy of vertical integration, extended its activities into other cement related businesses.

 

Following this policy the Company in 2000 obtained from the government an exploration permit for aggregates in Paphos area (total area is 2 square kilometers). After a detailed scientific investigation, the Company in 2003 applied to the Government's Urban Department for a Quarry Development Permit

In 2002 our company acquired 50% of the shares in Latouros Quarries Ltd. This quarry produces sand by crushing natural Calcareous Limestone. For more details see http://www.latouros.com/.

In November 2003, our Company with its related company Latouros Quarries Ltd purchased the 50% shareholding of Athinodorou Beton Ltd with the intent to jointly participate in the production and distribution of ready mix concrete. Athinodorou Beton Ltd with its associated companies is the largest manufacturing and distribution company of ready mix concrete in Cyprus with activities in real estate as well.
